Project Description:
The Cleveland Spiders was a proposed new name for Cleveland’s baseball team, as they left their racially-charged name, mascot, and logo in the past. The initial logo design (created in 2016) went viral in the summer of 2020, and was used as the basis for an apparel line that raised thousands of dollars for Native American and Indigenous organizations and was featured in the New York Times and on ESPN.com.
The brand was extended to uniform designs, apparel, and social media promo graphics.
